The Lord Is My Shepherd

A Psalm of David.

1 The Lord is my ^ashepherd; I shall not ^bwant.
2 He makes me lie down in green ^cpastures.
He leads me beside still waters. ^{▼▼Hebrew beside waters of rest}
3 He ^erestores my soul.
He ^fleads me in ^gpaths of righteousness ^{▼▼Or in right paths}
for his ⁱname’s sake.
4 Even though I ^jwalk through the valley of ^kthe shadow of death, ^{▼▼Or the valley of deep darkness}
I will ^mfear no evil,
for ⁿyou are with me;
your ^orod and your staff,
they comfort me.
5 You ^pprepare a table before me
in ^qthe presence of my enemies;
you ^ranoint my head with oil;
my ^scup overflows.
6 Surely ^{▼▼Or Only} goodness and mercy ^{▼▼Or steadfast love} shall follow me
all the days of my life,
and I shall ^vdwell ^{▼▼Or shall return to dwell} in the house of the Lord
